An orange flowering vine that%26#039;s really common in the US is campsis (trumpet vine). The flowers are a very bright shade and are 2 to 3 inches long and trumpet shaped. The vine has oblong, pointed leaves along stems like a walnut tree%26#039;s leaf structure. The vine is extremely hardy and invasive. It also can cause skin irritation, similar to that caused by poison ivy, in sensitive individuals.

What is the name of a vine with orange flowers and something that looks like a red sugar baby?
I think you may be talking about Oriental Bittersweet, an invasive vine. The problem, from Rhode Island Wild Plant Society (and any ecologist!), is:

%26quot;Birds and people who compost or collect the fruits for dried arrangements have enhanced its escape from cultivation. Once established in edge habitats and shrub lands Oriental Bittersweet can aggressively out compete native vegetation for space, water, and nutrients. It shades out native vegetation, and its twining action can also constrict tree stems, impeding sap flow and increasing vulnerability to wind damage. This species is particularly abundant in the coastal zone where it is a dominant plant on many islands in Narragansett Bay and Block Island. %26quot;

What you are describing, by the way, though it looks like a flower, is actually the seed. The second link, to the Nature Conservancy, has a great photo. It also warns:

%26quot;Oriental bittersweet is on the Class C list of noxious weeds in North Carolina and it is illegal to sell or distribute it as a living plant, or as a decorative one. If you see violations of this law, alert the NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (919-733-3610 x246).%26quot;

Might want to keep this in mind!
Reply:I would take one of the pods and flower to your local nursery and ask them. They love giving answers to this type of thing plus they can tell you how to keep it in check so it doesn%26#039;t take over everything in the garden or where ever it is. thats what they get paid to do...........good luck
Reply:I think yazmin has the right answer. greenhouse grunt was close but didn%26#039;t pay attention to all the details you listed. Eradicate that invasive plant and do it quickly. CLip it and burn it to prevent seeds from getting away. Herbicide drench the root zone.
Reply:More info would be helpful. Type of flower shape, leaves also
Reply:sounds a little like what we call %26quot;Cow Itch%26quot; in the south.
Reply:Sounds like %26quot;hearts abustin%26quot;. Kids need to develop their own personalities, rather than being labeled by films or books.

Hope that helps
Reply:Niloufer

Violet

Lily

Rose

Rosa

Jasmin

Orchid

Holly
Reply:Marilin

Mary sap

tulip

Rose

Sunflower
Reply:iris, rose, violet, daisy, flor,
Reply:Iris, Violet, Rose, Lily, Daisy, Lavender, Lilac, Holly, Tulip, Petunia.

that%26#039;s all i can think of.
Reply:Hyacinth

Petunia

Marigold

Lily

Rose

Daisy

Violet
Reply:Daphne, Petunia , Rose, ,Daisy,.Lily,~~
Reply:rose

violet

daisy

merrigold
Reply:Rose. The ORIGINAL chorus (daydream....) is from an obscure European group called the Gunter Kallman Choir. It was later used in 2001 by The Beta Band (who are great - kind of electro-rocky) in the single %26#039;Squares%26#039; and around the same time by the group I Monster [in their song titled Daydream in Blue] (who are good as well - kind of trip hoppy). It is also used as a chorus by Lupe Fiasco in some crappy rap song recently. I%26#039;ve heard it in several TV commercials, other songs and in a movie but what exactly escapes me.%26quot;

The actual lyrics seem to be:

Daydream

I fell asleep amid the flower

For a couple of hours

On a beautiful day

Hope that helps!

Shoes

Can you grow baby breath from its dried flowers like marigolds?

Yes, you can if you can get them while they are dried on the plant and get them early! One is for a full afghan but you can reduce it to the size you want. It is called Daisy Dell and of course with the flowers on top and that they are made in puffs you would have to make the decision. The other is also solid and for the life of me I can%26#039;t find the pattern at the moment to give you more information on it but it has the flowers in the middle and the rest is solid. The book is here but I have to look for it but wanted to get this information to you.

Looking for a crochet afghan for a baby something solid with flowers can anyone help me?
http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/dir...

Here are 2 links for you. Crochet Pattern Central are free and you just search the directory at the top and click on baby . The marymaxim site is not free, but you can browse their catologue for ideas and they sell a lot of baby afghan kits. They are very reliable and they deliver in 6 working days. Good luck! You could also check your local public library where they usually have a great selection of pattern books in the hobby section.
Reply:It%26#039;s really hard to know exactly what you have in mind, but here are two pages worth of patterns that you can look through. I use this site alot, I understand and trust their patterns to work. I hope you find something you like!! They need to survive through all kinds of weather?
well i dont know the weather where you live but a peace lily is a very hardy plant and has beautiful white flowers.maybe you should consider a nice shrub or bush or even a tree.i planted a christmas tree last may on my brothers grave and decorated it at christmas for him.good luck.
Reply:I%26#039;m so sorry for your loss that must have been so awful for you !!

Like the lady said pansies may be good if we get rain. australian native pansies or some other aussie native to the area flower

Thats if you are an aussie
Reply:check with your garden at the store they can help you as i don%26#039;t know what kind of weather you have
Reply:Pansies are the best.
Reply:I%26#039;m sorry to hear about your loss.

Potted flowers probably won%26#039;t work because they dry out too quickly. In old fashioned cemetaries, people could plant flowers right on the gravesite. Is this an option? Then you could choose a hardy perennial for your zone that blooms around the anniversary of your son%26#039;s death.

And then I%26#039;d fill it in with violas (they are like miniature pansies) -- you can get them in many different colors these days, and they self-seed, so as long as you keep the weeds clear, you%26#039;ll have more flowers coming along next year. Also, a folk name for viola is %26quot;heart%26#039;s ease.%26quot;

If you can%26#039;t plant in the ground, you might get a very large pot and fill it with rosemary -- that%26#039;s for rememberance. They are fairly hardy, and if you take them home during the winter, they will bloom in the very earliest part of spring with pretty blue flowers. (If you live in a warm, dry climate, you can get away with leaving rosemary there at the cemetary full time.)

makeup tips

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://flowers-baby.blogspot.com/2009/04/what-are-some-pretty-flowers-i-can-pot.html' title='What are some pretty flowers I can pot for a baby boy? This doesn%26#039;t always work.

2. I know this sounds gross, but it always works. Put urine in a spray bottle and spray it on the plants. It works every time, and it won%26#039;t harm the plants.
Reply:You don%26#039;t want them to come to your flower garden for meals, so don%26#039;t give them anything to eat. There%26#039;s plenty of wild plants for them, even in the city. Instead, spray your flowers with an animal repellant that you can purchase in the garden dept. of your hardware store, or make one from tabasco, a little oil, and a cup or two of water. This will make the flowers taste nasty to the rabbits, and they will stop. Reapply after a heavy rain, or when new growth appears on the plant. Remember, you don%26#039;t want them to think of your yard as the restaurant!
Reply:Mix a little dish soap with water in a spray bottle and spray the plants you don%26#039;t want eaten, if you do that daily it will not only keep the bunnies off of your flowers but the bugs too.. Plant some kale or lettuce for the little bunnys. It grows fast and they love it.
Reply:What I did was put plastic pots, they love to play with them and it keeps them buzy.
Reply:A product called liquid fence should keep deer and rabbits at bay. You can buy it at most plant nurseries.
Reply:I would rather keep them out than feed them. I hear marigolds are kind of repulsive to them. The only way I%26#039;ve been able to keep them out is with a 2 to 3 foot high chicken wire fence.

White Teeth

Song from UK Gardens trailer last year. After not being able to reach my feet for so long they were in need of some TLC. The baby always gets gifts...give something to momma.

What do you give to a women whos just had a baby ? are flowers ok ?
Give Mom a relaxation kit. she worked hard to bring baby into the world, let her feel pampered!
Reply:Buy her some baby items like diapers, clothes, and stuff like that.
Reply:Flowers are appropiate espessially if she has to stay in the hospital for a while to brighten up a room.
Reply:Flowers are perfect!
Reply:yeah flowers are ok but you could also give anything like a congratulation card

baloon (it a boy, or its a girl or even congratulation

baby gift set (clothes, bottle, toy, etc)

tetty bear (ita boy/ its a girl)
Reply:i got balloons from my mom the day after i had my baby. i was so sick and they made me feel so much better. so if i can recommend a gift, i would say balloons!!!!
Reply:yes. but diapers is something that would really help.
Reply:Flowers are good...diapers are good too (you%26#039;d be surprised how many diapers an itty bitty baby can poop up). A thing that I like to do (once she%26#039;s home) is bring easy/fast to prepare food (like a frozen lasagna, spaghetti etc.) A new mommy is TIRED and really doesn%26#039;t have the energy to make themselves a nice meal. That%26#039;s my favorite thing to do for a new mother.
Reply:definitely flowers and balloons for her, it%26#039;ll make her feel better getting something.
Reply:I would have liked flowers when I had my two kids!
Reply:you don%26#039;t want to get flowers. You never know if she or any of her visitors at the hospital are allergic....

Teddy bears are good. But when I had my son, the best gift I got was from my brother, he got me an economy size bottle of Tylonel...I laughed so hard it hurt.
Reply:Baby items like clothes. Some bath stuff for them to relax after a big day. Some stuff to spray rooms so they can smell good.
Reply:ballons flowers or something that she can pamper herself (meaning bath and body works type of stuff) something for that baby is even not that bad
Reply:flowers are OK but if you can buy something for baby too it will be perfect. I am sure she will like it more.
Reply:Is this the mother of YOUR child or someone you just know? If it is the mother of YOUR child, generally jewelry is best! I got flowers for the birth of my first and it was disappointing. The flowers die. Jewelry lasts forever! If it is merely a friend, you can get diapers or clothes. Both are greatly appreciated by a new mom.
Reply:Flowers are okay, but it%26#039;s better to give her something for the baby, in my opinion. Spend the $15 or whatever flowers cost these days on a cute, colorful outfit for the baby or even a cute set of booties with a hat.
Reply:I have had 4 children and I would say that the best thing people got me was...........company! It%26#039;s just nice to have a good old natter and someone to help with the new little life! Of course a big bar of choccie to ease the baby blues goes down well too!!
Reply:A LARGE BOTTLE OF TYLENOL. You may laugh, but, I have given it to several women at their baby showers and I noticed most of them cherish that gift and it goes in their purse.
Reply:u should buy her baby clothes shoes diapers and just stuff the baby need
Reply:I think a thoughtful gift would be some lotions, maybe aromatherapy candles, some soft slippers, a silky robe, maybe a CD with some relaxing tunes.
Reply:if it is for mom and not the baby, then i would say bring a yummy meal. i am a new mom and for me it was hard to cook at first.
Reply:Flowers ARE ALWAYS a wonderful idea for any occasion! But if you want to be practical get something for the baby or something to give the new mom some relaxation or make her new life easier!
Reply:Flowers are sweet - some other ideas: Bring her dinner. Buy her an in-home massage. Something off her baby registry. Larger baby clothes (not infant-size).

Soles

Wedding flowers, colors are chocolate & baby blue, what flowers would look best?

I need suggestions for the bridesmaids flowers and the decorations. Any suggestions would be great!

Wedding flowers, colors are chocolate %26amp; baby blue, what flowers would look best?
Why not mix in gold as well and some white? Brown and blue go with gold nicely. As for flowers how about blue and white flowers with greenery?

Here are some pics:

http://weddings.theknot.com/odb/themes/r...

http://weddings.theknot.com/odb/themes/r...

http://weddings.theknot.com/odb/themes/r...

http://weddings.theknot.com/odb/themes/r...

http://weddings.theknot.com/odb/themes/r...

http://weddings.theknot.com/odb/themes/r...

http://weddings.theknot.com/odb/themes/r...

http://weddings.theknot.com/odb/themes/r...

http://weddings.theknot.com/odb/themes/r...

http://weddings.theknot.com/odb/themes/r...

http://weddings.theknot.com/odb/themes/r...

http://weddings.theknot.com/odb/themes/r...

http://weddings.theknot.com/odb/themes/r...
Reply:Don%26#039;t really know my flowers. But find a color close to what you want. For the chocolate part you could get small brown cattails put in the bouquets. They accent really nice. I think they have like 2 or 3 inch ones.

Really nice colors to put together.

Good luck with the wedding.
Reply:if you want to stick with those colors exactly, I would reccomend getting the powder blue irises or hydrangeas and chocholate cosmos, you could maybe mix in some ivory or white roses and greenery, that would be really pretty!
Reply:Blue hydrangeas! They look so pretty! You can mix them with other types and colors of flowers or just use them by themselves and they look great.
Reply:My wedding was chocolate colors, so I had all the flowers either white, off-white or a very very soft peach color. We went with roses for everyone. Having the white flowers looked good against the darker colors of the suits and dresses.

www.poetry.com

Do Baby's Breath flowers really smell like a baby's breath?

Where did the name for these flowers originate?

Do Baby%26#039;s Breath flowers really smell like a baby%26#039;s breath?
Not really, but they are small and very cuddly and look nice.
Reply:No, Baby%26#039;s breath is a term used to refer to annual flowers in the genus Gypsophila, all of which are characterized by highly branched stems and small white to pink flowers.

=D
Reply:NNNNNNnnooo; but after smelling them you will certainly sneaze like a baby.
Reply:yes they do...while they are pretty, they smell fainly of spit up.
Reply:No. They are the size of baby buds on regular plants at their full size.
Reply:no they don%26#039;t smell like a baby%26#039;s breath.it%26#039;s because the flowers are so tiny.
Reply:I don%26#039;t think flowers that smell of puke would sell very well.
Reply:no, because all babies have different breath. breast fed, bottle fed, cereal eating, they all smell differently. just like roses dont smell good, contrary to how they are romanticized

hairstyles hair style

Can Baby's Breath flowers be grown indoors?

Can I plant this flower indoors on a planter? It is eating my black eyed susans and petunias. What should I do about it? I%26#039;m not sure if it is normal for a baby bunny to be on its own already... maybe momma deserted it?!?

At any rate, it is cute as heck and I don%26#039;t want it to starve but I would also like to preserve my landscaping. Can I feed it something else?

What should I do about a baby bunny eating my flowers?
Critter Ridder comes in a pump spray from Home depot, you%26#039;ll probably only find it by asking an associate. At least, thats how I found it after looking on my own for more than an hour. It%26#039;s expensive ...$17.00 for the bottle. Or you could put up a small chicken wire fence around the plants you want to keep. Also consider putting some other vegetable greens, or rabbit pellets (avalible anywhere pet supplies are sold) and water out for the cute little bunny, you can actually train him to come and eat what and where you want him to!
Reply:put moth balls around
Reply:Spray your plants with garlic/pepper tea :

To make garlic/pepper tea, liquefy 2 bulbs of garlic and 2 hot peppers in a blender 1/2 to 2/3 full of water. Strain the solids and add enough water to the garlic/pepper juice to make 1 gallon of concentrate. Use 1/4 cup of concentrate per gallon of spray. To make garlic tea, simply omit the pepper and add another bulb of garlic. Add two tablespoons of molasses for more control.

Don%26#039;t worry about the rabbit - he%26#039;ll find food elsewhere.
Reply:Capture baby bunny, take it to the vet, and keep it as a pet. That way you get your flowers, and she gets a safe momma who%26#039;s going to love her.
Reply:Forget all the `cutesy wootsy` stuff, shoot it or your garden will live to regret it. Make that, will NOT live to regret it !
Reply:Quick, plant some lima beans! Seriously, I have the same problem, only the bunny is eating my lima bean plants just as they come out of the group, get some in the ground and as soon as they sprout I bet your bunny will go for them. Lettuce, cabbage and things like that might also help.

Good luck!
Reply:Rabbits are constant foragers, meaning that your plants are only a portion of it%26#039;s diet. If you feed it something else, it will eat that AND your plants. Once a rabbit has found a food source, it will continue to eat that food source it%26#039;s entire life. The only way to fix the problem is to trap it and relocate it to another area, or kill it. You don%26#039;t seem to be a rabbit stew kind of girl, so I would suggest calling the city and ask them to bring a live trap by your house. Most citys will loan you a live trap at no charge. When they catch the rabbit, they will take it to a park and release it.
Reply:Kill it and make a stew.
Reply:Buy some toy plastic snakes. This will frighted the cute out of them. Just place them near the flowers.
Reply:You don%26#039;t need to feed wildlife just because it%26#039;s cute, rabbits can survive on their own. If the baby bunny is more than 5 inches long, it is old enough to care for itself. If you know where it lives, don%26#039;t follow it as your scent trail will lead predators to it. Rabbits will eat clover, so if you want, you can have a contractor replace your yard with a clover field.
Reply:You should try to give it alternative food. Little bunnies often eat flowers because there is nothing else around. But, given the choice, they probably want to eat something else. So, you should go to the pet store and buy a variety of different rabbit foods and little bowls to put them in. Then, put to food right next to all your flowers. If the bunny still eats the flowers, then change to a different food until the bunny finds the one he or she likes. It is important to keep track of what food you put where. If this doesn%26#039;t work, you may want to try carrots, celery or even bacon. But remember, you must present a well balanced meal - you are responsible for nutirition and if you give the rabbit a lot of junk food early on you could stunt its growth.

acting resources

Any ideas for yellow flowers or a bush with flowers like Yarrow, Baby's Breath, Queen Anne's Lace, etc. that

grows in Northern Calif. Smal and Iris like.

And there are native Iris, the Pacific Coast Hybrids, in yellows and blues, and more colors.

Wish I could see the picture in your head so I might know what you want.

Maybe a large Sedum? Or Dudleya? Succulents that have yellow flowers on stalks.

Native Violets. It grows profusely all along the highways in Lake County.
Reply:Thryallis is nice and can be trimmed as it can get pretty large. It%26#039;s often used as a landscaping bush. It grows well in FL. It doesn%26#039;t blossom year round but, it is nice green and woodsy looking shrub.
Reply:yarrow
Reply:Send for free gardening catalogs so that you can view flowers and shrubs from the comfort of your home this winter. I%26#039;m a mum of 1 (girl, age 5) and often hanging around Yahoo answers!

Roses are very edible. Turkish delight is made from Roses. Some salads have rose petals in them. There are loads of edible flowers. Saffron is basically crocuses.
Reply:Roses are safe to be eaten, as another answerer said, I saw it once that rose petals are used in all sorts of recipes.

I do know that honeysuckle is poisonous as my little cousin once ate some from in the garden when she was 18 months. My aunt called the doctor just to get some advice and they told her to get to the poisons department in A%26amp;E.
Reply:Doubt it...what they eat goes in one end and out the other. You can have rosewater in food so why not the rose as long as she doesnt eat the thorns!!!
Reply:roses arent poisonous, but a lot of flowers are
Reply:I used to work on an Alzheimer%26#039;s/dementia unit and they were not allowed to have flowers in their room because they would often eat them...

We had a posted list of poisonous plants/flowers in case one of the family members %26quot;snuck%26quot; in some flowers and I remember roses were %26quot;safe%26quot;

Baby is fine...
Reply:Most flowers are edible. Roses petals form part of many eastern dishes and they are actually quite good for you - except the ones in a vase are unlikely to be food grade. She%26#039;ll be fine.
Reply:Thankfully on this occasion no as I%26#039;ve heard they put them in salads.
