Baby eating flowers...????

hiii i just went to the kitchen to bring food for the baby and when i came back i saw her with the flowers in her mouth. she is 9 months old and she reach the roses from the cot. there is just little bit in her mouth i dont think she swallow something but if yes do u think is dangerous for her?????

Roses are very edible. Turkish delight is made from Roses. Some salads have rose petals in them. There are loads of edible flowers. Saffron is basically crocuses.
Reply:Roses are safe to be eaten, as another answerer said, I saw it once that rose petals are used in all sorts of recipes.





I do know that honeysuckle is poisonous as my little cousin once ate some from in the garden when she was 18 months. My aunt called the doctor just to get some advice and they told her to get to the poisons department in A%26amp;E.
Reply:Doubt it...what they eat goes in one end and out the other. You can have rosewater in food so why not the rose as long as she doesnt eat the thorns!!!

Reply:Most flowers are edible. Roses petals form part of many eastern dishes and they are actually quite good for you - except the ones in a vase are unlikely to be food grade. She%26#039;ll be fine.
Reply:Thankfully on this occasion no as I%26#039;ve heard they put them in salads. That is not the case for many other flowers so be extra careful next time and thank your lucky stars!! My son ate hyacinths and I had to take him to A%26amp; E and have his stomach pumped!
Reply:oh! i went to get my babys milk i came back and he had gotten hold of the cream for his bum! he had eaten a bit, i rang nhs direct and they said not to worry! he is fine now, she%26#039;ll be fine just have sweet smelling poo!
Reply:NO, they are only roses. I would move the cot though in case she swallows the thorns next time.
Reply:im sure its fine, roses are actually good for you! lol but dont encourage her to eat flowers and make sure it doesnt become a habbit because alot of flowers are poisonous
