What do you give to a women whos just had a baby ? are flowers ok ?

The best gift I got after I had my baby was a pedicure. After not being able to reach my feet for so long they were in need of some TLC. The baby always gets gifts...give something to momma.

What do you give to a women whos just had a baby ? are flowers ok ?
Give Mom a relaxation kit. she worked hard to bring baby into the world, let her feel pampered!
Reply:Buy her some baby items like diapers, clothes, and stuff like that.
Reply:Flowers are appropiate espessially if she has to stay in the hospital for a while to brighten up a room.
Reply:Flowers are perfect!
Reply:yeah flowers are ok but you could also give anything like a congratulation card

baloon (it a boy, or its a girl or even congratulation

baby gift set (clothes, bottle, toy, etc)

tetty bear (ita boy/ its a girl)
Reply:i got balloons from my mom the day after i had my baby. i was so sick and they made me feel so much better. so if i can recommend a gift, i would say balloons!!!!
Reply:yes. but diapers is something that would really help.
Reply:Flowers are good...diapers are good too (you%26#039;d be surprised how many diapers an itty bitty baby can poop up). A thing that I like to do (once she%26#039;s home) is bring easy/fast to prepare food (like a frozen lasagna, spaghetti etc.) A new mommy is TIRED and really doesn%26#039;t have the energy to make themselves a nice meal. That%26#039;s my favorite thing to do for a new mother.
Reply:definitely flowers and balloons for her, it%26#039;ll make her feel better getting something.
Reply:I would have liked flowers when I had my two kids!
Reply:you don%26#039;t want to get flowers. You never know if she or any of her visitors at the hospital are allergic....

Teddy bears are good. But when I had my son, the best gift I got was from my brother, he got me an economy size bottle of Tylonel...I laughed so hard it hurt.
Reply:Baby items like clothes. Some bath stuff for them to relax after a big day. Some stuff to spray rooms so they can smell good.
Reply:ballons flowers or something that she can pamper herself (meaning bath and body works type of stuff) something for that baby is even not that bad
Reply:flowers are OK but if you can buy something for baby too it will be perfect. I am sure she will like it more.
Reply:Is this the mother of YOUR child or someone you just know? If it is the mother of YOUR child, generally jewelry is best! I got flowers for the birth of my first and it was disappointing. The flowers die. Jewelry lasts forever! If it is merely a friend, you can get diapers or clothes. Both are greatly appreciated by a new mom.
Reply:Flowers are okay, but it%26#039;s better to give her something for the baby, in my opinion. Spend the $15 or whatever flowers cost these days on a cute, colorful outfit for the baby or even a cute set of booties with a hat.
Reply:I have had 4 children and I would say that the best thing people got me was...........company! It%26#039;s just nice to have a good old natter and someone to help with the new little life! Of course a big bar of choccie to ease the baby blues goes down well too!!
Reply:A LARGE BOTTLE OF TYLENOL. You may laugh, but, I have given it to several women at their baby showers and I noticed most of them cherish that gift and it goes in their purse.
Reply:u should buy her baby clothes shoes diapers and just stuff the baby need
Reply:I think a thoughtful gift would be some lotions, maybe aromatherapy candles, some soft slippers, a silky robe, maybe a CD with some relaxing tunes.
Reply:if it is for mom and not the baby, then i would say bring a yummy meal. i am a new mom and for me it was hard to cook at first.
Reply:Flowers ARE ALWAYS a wonderful idea for any occasion! But if you want to be practical get something for the baby or something to give the new mom some relaxation or make her new life easier!
Reply:Flowers are sweet - some other ideas: Bring her dinner. Buy her an in-home massage. Something off her baby registry. Larger baby clothes (not infant-size).
